Current BISD president Enrique Escobedo will remain president of the board. Lucy Escobedo and Dr. Christina Saavedra make out the rest of the board.
*Gill-Martinez said she will ask for a recount well she should because someone just noticed that of the 600 provisional votes, the military mail-ins and the "lost" precinct ballots only 26 votes were added to the original results reported a week ago Tuesday (Nov. 6). That does seem like too few for so many late votes. We, of course, shall see if Gill-Martinez decides to pay for a hand recount.
Incidentally, the race between Pct. 1 incumbent constable Horacio Zamora and Pedro "Pete" Delgadillo also only changed by three votes, all going to Zamora. The election-day totals were Zamora 2,501 to Delgadillo 2,500. After the provisional and military mail-in votes were counted that total rose to Zamora, 2,504 to Delgadillo 2,501.
Will there be a recount on that one as well?
